Chase for a Cure

We at P.U.R.E. Xperience love our supporters and their visions.  We also love how much of a difference we can make when we join forces.  So when our good friend Caitlin Kummeth reached out to us about a fundraising walk on April 26th, 2015.  We knew we had to take part and attend.  Caitlin Kummeth is a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) at Temple University.  The PRSSA is the leading pre-professional organization for students interested in public relations and communications.  Composed of about 140 members, the Temple University chapter just so happens to be the longest standing Chapter of the PRSSA in the Philadelphia region. Caitlin’s specific chapter often puts together great events for great causes, and we love supporting our supporters. This particular event was called Chase for a Cure, and it was a two-mile walk/run, that was held at Temple Universities track and field, right in our Philadelphia hometown. All proceeds were being donated to Fox Chase Cancer Center.  So of course, we rounded up a P.U.R.E. team and were proud to be part of such a great event. It ended up being a great day, with the sun shining and great vibes all around us. Not only were participants provided with an awesome Chase for a Cure tee shirt, but the event also provided us with awesome music, great snacks, and great raffles. It was an unbelievable turnout with over 125 students participating, and Chase for a Cure ended up raising over $3,000 to be donated! It was a great feeling to see so many supporters.  Everyone was in the same place for the same reason.  To give back to the community and to raise money where it is greatly needed! We would like to thank Caitlin for including us in this awesome event, and the Public Relations Student Society of American at Temple University for putting together such a great event!
